The Rev. Dallas Prestwood

Pastoral Assistant

Dallas Prestwood has served as Pastoral Assistant of Calvary since May of 2008. Following graduation from Lenoir Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina, and Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, Dallas served a dozen years in Christian Education. After completing a second degree at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC, he was ordained and served as Pastor of Enfield Baptist Church in Enfield, North Carolina, for nineteen years and of First Baptist Church, Yadkinville, North Carolina, for almost seven years before retiring in 2002.

"I am a retired minister having served forty years in full-time ministry following college and seminary.  Perhaps there is some advantage to age and experience since this is the most delightful job I have ever done.  I love working with people in many roles, leading worship and preaching and being a part of the staff at Calvary.  When I am not involved in ministry you will find me having fun in the yard, working on restoring my 1950 Buick, reading, or working on our house and furnishings. I am married to the former Ramona Craig who is also an ordained minister.  We have two children, Laura and Bill."
