Youth and Children’s Ministry
At Calvary Moravian Church we love young people and children. The Bible tells us that every child is a gift of God and we desire to celebrate and honor these gifts. This is accomplished by creating a caring and loving environment in which children of all ages can worship, learn, and serve and fellowship together.
Worship
Children are encouraged to worship God both as a part of the whole congregation and in our beautiful Children’s Chapel. Age-specific services for younger and older children provide places for them to participate by reading scripture, leading a liturgy, presenting their offerings, singing, praying, hearing Bible stories and engaging in spirited dialogue about their faith.
Learn
We learn about God by studying the Bible. In those pages we see God’s love and caring for us, culminating in the person of Jesus Christ. We want children and young people to know how much God loves them and what God requires of them, so we teach them the wonderful truths of scripture. This happens in Sunday School, Sunday night family activities and in special events throughout the year.
Service
Serving God is a privilege that brings happiness not only to us but also to those around us. We encourage and teach children and youth to serve God daily as individuals and as a group through special projects. These events range in scope from helping people outside the congregation to caring for the needs of our own church family. Everything from the "Shoe Box Ministry" to visiting shut-ins, to repainting classrooms-whatever the need is – we help children and young people serve God.
Fellowship
We want church to be a place our children and young people enjoy. We have fun being together and growing together as a family in Christ through special outings and planned events. We strive to create an environment for children and young people in which they feel loved and appreciated as individuals and as a part of God’s family. Come join us!
